What's The Best 4.3 Gps With Text To Speech?

Now, just so you know, I"m biased toward the big manufacturers. I really like Garmin, Magellan, and TomTom. It"s not that I don"t like Navigon and all those other manufacturers. It"s just that I"m partial to companies that I know are the leaders in GPS technology. Garmin has the US market sewed up. Magellan started this whole business several years ago and continues to have exciting features to their GPS devices, and TomTom certainly came into the US market only a few years ago and captured a significant portion of it. So, in this article, we"re going to talk about a few of the various 4.3 GPS with text to speech devices that each of these manufacturers makes. Let"s start with Garmin.

Virtually all of Garmin"s widescreen GPS devices has text to speech. There"s only one that doesn"t. So, if you buy a Garmin, you"re getting text to speech. The only question is which is best.

A year ago, I would have had a better answer to this, because there was such a difference in prices of the high-end vs. the lower end models, but this year, prices of the high-end models have come down significantly. For instance, Garmin"s super high-end GPS, the nuvi 1690 is completely within reach of anyone willing to buy a GPS device. By the way, with all of its incredible features, that"s the one I like the best of them all.

If you"re interested in a Magellan, they have some excellent 4.3 GPS"s with text to speech. I like Magellan almost as much as I do Garmin. I especially like the Maestro line, with its sleek design. Any Maestro above 4220 will have text to speech.

I have to admit I was more of a Garmin and Magellan man than a TomTom man. But recently, TomTom"s come out with one heck of an entry into the GPS marketplace. It"s not a 4.3 GPS text to speech model. It"s got the smaller screen, but I would be remiss if I didn"t tell you about it, because it"s so cool. It"s called the TomTom EASE, and it has text to speech as is super easy to use.
